The Services

Our Brechin Services provide care and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to individuals living in their own homes. The Services provide person centred support to enable individuals living with a range of support needs including autism and learning disabilities, to live as independently as possible, providing opportunities for social interaction and access to local amenities.


The Role

In your role as a Support worker you will:

  • Support individuals with everyday living skills including assistance with shopping, budgeting, cooking, household tasks and attending appointments
  • Support with personal care (including intimate personal care)
  • Take a person centred approach to help individuals achieve positive outcomes in life
  • Work as part of a friendly, supportive and professional staff team to provide the highest quality of care

You Will

  • Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Be organised with good time keeping skills
  • Able to demonstrate transferable skills relating to care
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Be flexible in respect of shift patterns as these will include; early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
