The Service

This exciting opportunity within Hillcrest Futures’ young peoples service looks to support young people aged 12-25 in the Perth and Kinross area. The service operates in partnership with local authority and other key stakeholders . The service provides one to one and group education as well as peer education  interventions designed to build young peoples knowledge and resilliance around substances .The Service is a confidential and non-judgemental service that provides education sessions and one to one support to young people.

 

The Role

The project worker will provide one-to-one support, education sessions and group work sessions to vulnerable young people who are expereicning any issues with their substance use or where their substance use has impacted on their mental health. Working with young people to support them to make safer choices is a core role. The project worker will also deliver information and training sessions to other professionals outwith the service.

 

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who is creative and wants to be a part of an exciting service that supports young people make better informed decisions.

  • You will have experience of working with young people on a one-to-one basis as well as experience of working in a group work based setting.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of community based work and the ability to deliver awareness-raising and educational sessions to a range of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
  • Educated to SCQF Level 7, SVQ3 or equivalent.
